About Cara Cards Cara Cards is a small (two person) venture based out of Dublin, Ireland. Having spent nearly ten years in the world of computing, the Cara Cards founder, Aisling, decided to go it alone and investigate whether a long time hobby of making cards for friends and family could make it in the business world. The recent major addition of friend and businesswoman Barbara has already taken Cara Cards to new heights, and will continue to do so! Many, many cards later, here is Cara Cards. One of the philosophies behind the company is that in today's online world, where email is the primary mode of communication, it seems that paper based communications are only gaining in popularity and poignancy. Nowadays, receiving a piece of correspondence through "snail mail" is perhaps even more pleasurable than in days of old. There is something special about receiving a card or letter in the post that can really make someone's day. Along with this, it seems that people are becoming more selective about what they like to send to friends, family and loved ones, seeking out original and beautiful cards and stationary to really make the sending of the card a special moment for both the sender and receiver. Each of Cara Cards' cards aims to make the sender and receiver smile, or take a moment to ponder the simple but beautiful handmade card they are to send or have been sent. Our "flagship" card is the simple tiny bunch of red roses on Indian cotton paper. As someone said long ago...take time to smell the roses...Cara Cards hopes to bring a quiet and happy moment to the day of the purchaser and lucky receivers of a Cara Card.
